I've been pretty successful lately in converting the PCX files that MGS PC uses to TIM format. TIM format is easier to deal with since plugins already exist for it. Converting 8-bit back to PCX is working, 4-bit is pretty close. More to come...
Nice dude. I was wondering if you managed to get any character models from the game? I want to make a 3d print of Snake but have no 3d modeling experience. cheers
Sorry to double post, but I was wondering whether you can convert model UV data yet? Because Mirex has already created a program called "Unmass" which is capable of extracting the textures from the PC version of "Metal Gear Solid: Integral". http://mirex.mypage.sk/index.php?selected=1
No problem. I have this version of unmass, it's handy. I haven't worked on this in a long time, been otherwise occupied. I traced execution but it's confusing. The playstation version does a bunch of manipulation and moving things around in scratch pad and the pc version does something similar and its difficult to follow. Maybe someday. Wipeout uses similar data and I've had better luck with that. I'll get back to you sometime.
Hello neko68k, all your work at mgs are very great. I try to compile the mgs viewer, but the compiler stop with an error. Have you a download link for the mgs full map modell?
I don't. This might help. http://secaproject.com/kmd2obj_2_51 also check the Discord and wiki linked in this thread. https://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=16274

ReplyDeletecheers
yes and no. the models work but there is no rigging so they're all a mess of unattached parts and texturing is still incomplete.
ReplyDeleteThanks for continuing work on this project. I stopped by this blog while I was cleaning out Google Reader, and this was a pleasant surprise. :D
