So, hey. Just wondering how progress on this has been going. Slow and steady? In any case, I'll keep hopeful for a release of your work in the future. Keep on doing what you're doing :D .
I'm reverse engineering the loading mechanism for the game. I can't figure out where it decides to load the textures in VRAM. There might be something specific in the scenerio.gcx or somewhere else but I'm haven't quite got that far yet. I'm fairly certain now that it doesn't check sizes or hashes on the DAR or MGZ files though. They just have to have proper layout and versioning.
Great work! I need the original map mesh, now I'm not sure how to extract it into blender for example, seeing that you've managed to import it, could you explain how you did this, is it simply the gcx file or does it need to be converted? Keep up the work, don't give up, after searching the internet all day trying to find a solution, many people would appreciate a successful rip.
